We have just returned from the Aberdeen Dojos' 20 th anniversary seminar which was very successfull . There were students from all over Britain as well as visitors from Holland , South Africa and Poland.
This was an important seminar marking this milestone in the Dojos' history . There were also three promotions two of them to Shodan (1st Dan ) and one to 5th kyu. Congratulations to Mark , Martina and Liam , all of the students worked really hard over the weekend and I am sure it will not be to long before there are more promotions to come for the dedicated students of the Sakumeikan Dojo .
All of this was overseen by Shihans' Mike Flynn and Chris Mooney and Shidoins' Paul Robinson and Stevie Boyle . I cannot wait to go back .
Differing styles of hand-crafted tanto's are available from Stevie Boyle of Wishaw Aikikai. They are made from white oak or poplar and are recommended by T.K. Chiba Shihan.
